Pro Audio backbone

CPU is a critical element when choosing hardware to build your Pro Audio PC. It does most of the work and is essentially responsible for the amount of channels, instruments and VST effects you can use within your projects. In some cases, this task can be partly delegated to additional DSP hardware, but the work performed by the central processor is still essential.

In our Lab, we constantly test the new Intel and AMD CPUs available on the market to ensure machines that can keep pace with the evolution of hardware and software technologies dedicated to music production.

Elevate multitasking

The RAM memory is another critical component that affects the performance of a computer used as a Digital Audio Workstation.

When working with large audio files or using numerous plugins and effects, it is advisable to have an adequate RAM capacity. In general, the more RAM available, the more data can be loaded simultaneously, reducing the need for frequent hard disk accesses and improving performance.

Our DAWs start with a minimum of 32GB of RAM, which is a good configuration in most cases, but if you work on complex projects and/or use large VST libraries you may need at least 64GB.

We strictly select high-end memories that we know are not only compatible but also tested for maximum stability and performance within our builds.

In our Digital Audio Workstations, we install the industry's best and latest PCIe (M.2 NVMe) and SATA3 SSDs to ensure extremely high read and write performance.

Moreover, you always have the option to configure a dual or triple drive system, so that you have several separate storage drives and can organize applications, libraries, and projects optimally for both use and data security.

If you need a different storage layout, with more than three drives, raid configurations or anything else that is not available through our configurator, please ask for a personal quote.

Our technical support

We know how important it is for you and your work to have a system which provides stability and seamless workflows, in addition to performance. We also know - and we say this with the utmost honesty! - that the absolute perfect computer does not exist.

That's why we care about providing you with the best technical support on your workstation, and if needed we have the knowledge and tools to act and restore your system as quickly as possible.

Backup and safety

With your computer, we will provide you with a USB stick containing a system image that may be useful in case you need to restore the machine to its initial condition prior to delivery.

And if you wish, absolutely for free, as it is included in the purchase of your workstation:

  • we help you, via remote session, to create a system image after you install your applications, so you have a complete restore point ready to get back to your work very quickly;
  • we can guide you in choosing and deploying a backup strategy that will secure your valuable - and hard-earned! - work, without impacting your computer's performance.

Remote or in-lab support

We offer remote support using AnyDesk, so we can find solutions quickly and without the need to return the computer to our lab. But it may happen that direct intervention on machine is required, in which case we will arrange for a courier to collect the computer and return it to you once it is fixed.
